Royal Wedding amigurumi
After watching the royal wedding on TV, I just had to get to work on making a little Will & Kate amigurumi pair. :) I’m really happy with how they turned out, simplified and all. ^_^
Onni the Beckoning Cat (Maneki Neko) amigurumi pattern
Here’s an amigurumi pattern for a little Japanese Beckoning Cat, or Maneki Neko. These little cats welcome customers and are thought to bring good luck. “Onni” is a Finnish word/name meaning “luck.” I tried to simplify the design and add some kawaiiness, hope it was successful. :3
Size: 3.5” (9cm) tall
Notes: End each piece with a slip stitch and leave a long tail for sewing. Stuff evenly, but take care not to overstuff the body; you’ll want the bottom to be flat so the amigurumi will sit level.
Materials needed
Worsted weight yarn (I used Red Heart)
3.75 mm (F) crochet hook
Stuffing
Plastic pellets
Felt
Fabric glue
Embroidery floss
6 mm safety eyes
Head
Rnd 1 – 5 sc into magic ring (5 sts)
Rnd 2 – 2 sc into each st around (10 sts)
Rnd 3 – [2 sc in next st, 1 sc] rep around (15 sts)
Rnd 4 – [2 sc in next st, 2 sc] rep around (20 sts)
Rnd 5 – [2 sc in next st, 3 sc] rep around (25 sts)
Rnd 6-8 – sc around (25 sts)
Rnd 9 – [sc2tog, 3 sc] rep around (20 sts)
Rnd 10 – [sc2tog, 2 sc] rep around (15 sts)
Body
Rnd 1 – 5 sc into magic ring (5 sts)
Rnd 2 – 2 sc into each st around (10 sts)
Rnd 3 – [2 sc in next st, 1 sc] rep around (15 sts)
Rnd 4 – [2 sc in next st, 2 sc] rep around (20 sts)
Rnd 5 – [2 sc in next st, 3 sc] rep around (25 sts)
Rnd 6 – [2 sc in next st, 4 sc] rep around (30 sts)
Rnd 7-9 – sc around (30 sts)
Rnd 10 – [sc2tog, 4 sc] rep around (25 sts)
Rnd 11 – [sc2tog, 3 sc] rep around (20 sts)
Rnd 12 – [sc2tog, 2 sc] rep around (15 sts)
Ears
Rnd 1 — 4 sc into magic ring (4 sts)
Rnd 2 — [2 sc in next st, 1 sc] rep around (6 sts)
Rnd 3 — [2 sc in next st, 2 sc] rep around (8 sts)
Paw and tail
Rnd 1 – 6 sc into magic ring (6 sts)
Rnd 2-3 – sc around (6 sts)
Attach eyes and embroider face on head, then stuff. Put plastic pellets in the bottom of the body for stability, then add stuffing (don’t overstuff). Use your fingers to shape the bottom so it sits flat. Sew body and head together. Sew on ears, paw, and tail. Cut felt shapes for collar, spots, and inner ears; attach with glue.

Spikey! Cloud amigurumi
I finished another FFVII amigurumi: his spikeyness, Cloud. :)
Little kitty
I made this little kitty for my co-worker’s daughter, who fell out of a tree and broke both arms and some vertebrae in her back. Thankfully she’s doing very well. I’m a little late getting this to her, but hopefully she’ll like it. :)
Pattern used is my Miuku the cat.
Hetalia Nordics
Quite possibly my favorite amigurumi project ever, I recently finished the Nordics from Axis Powers Hetalia! Yay! (I’m a bit attached to these little guys. :3)
From left, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Iceland. There are more pictures on my Ravelry account.
Totoro mittens
I usually don’t post my knitted stuff here, but I thought I would share the Totoro mittens I made for my friend for Christmas. :3
The pattern, Norwegian Totoro Mittens, is by brella and is available on Ravelry.
Tifa amigurumi
Tifa Lockhart from Final Fantasy VII.
Erm, the white stuff in her hair is snow… I take pics outside ’cause my house is too dark, and I was too impatient for the weather to improve. ^_^; Thanks for looking!
Hanatamago amigurumi!
Have I mentioned yet that I’m totally in love with Hetalia? OK. ^_^ Here’s Finland and Sweden’s puppy Hanatamago, amigurumi style. (Hanatamagurumi?)
The yarn is Pitter Patter from Hobby Lobby~~it’s very soft and cuddly but difficult to count stitches in. I used my previously posted dog pattern which I of course did not make just for this project and added a row to the legs, ears, and tail since this yarn seemed to smoosh together somehow.
Edam the dog pattern
New dog amigurumi pattern… Hope you like! Sorry the pics are kind of crappy right now. -_-
Size: 3″ (8 cm) tall
If you’re wondering why he is named Edam (a type of cheese)… Well, I’ve gotten into the series Axis Powers Hetalia lately, and the character Finland (whom I love and adore :D) wants to name his and Sweden’s puppy all sorts of bizarre names like Cheese Castle (?!). And as I was working on this pattern, I thought it totally looked like a cheese castle. XD Ahem. You can, of course, gives yours a more normal name. ^.^
Materials needed
Worsted weight yarn (I used Red Heart Super Saver in Cornmeal)
3.5 mm (E) hook
Stuffing
Plastic pellets
Felt
Eyes (see note below)
Thank you!
Just wanted to put out a big past due thank you to everyone for all the kind comments and support and for trying out my amigurumi patterns! :D It makes me so happy to see everyone’s fox, kitty, and cupcake projects on Ravelry and elsewhere–I’m just tickled and incredibly honored. :D
So thank you, thank you, thank you! You guys rock.
